So what exactly is the Web Traffic Genius WordPress Plugin? It is a plugin that creates RSS feeds for each and every piece of content that you generate so that you are able to get more back links to your sites on complete autopilot. And if you don’t have WordPress, don’t worry. The WTG also comes in a server form so that even if you only have an HTML site or maybe use a different CMS, you can still receive the same exact benefits as WordPress users.

Does it work? Well, I have used this plugin for a while now. But I wanted to really know if the price was worth it, so I did a little experiment. I am building a lot of sites as well as my own high PR network. So what I did was when I built out the first round of sites in my network, I left 3 sites without the plugin. I treated the 3 sites exactly the same as all of the others in every other aspect as far as plugins and themes.

After 2 months of this, this is what I found. All of my sites in a this particular network of 20 had an Alexa rank of 3 million or lower. Most were in the 2 or 1 million range. Now I understand that Alexa is not a good indicator of anything really. But for this experiment it was fine for measuring rank against other similar sites.

Now the 3 sites that I left alone didn’t fare as well as those with the plugin. In fact, their results were half. The 3 sites had Alexa rankings of 8 million and 2 sites were 6 million. All of the URLs were basically the same and all were .com or .org. So the only reason these 3 sites would have performed worse was strictly due to the WTG plugin. All other aspects were exactly the same.

And I only used the most basic RSS feeds. There are actually 3 levels that you can submit content to. The first level is open and all you need to do is tick the boxes next to the feed name and you are good to go. No passwords or account creation at all.

The 2nd ‘level’ of feeds requires a bit more time to set up. You need to create accounts and passwords at these RSS feed sites before the plugin can connect to them and submit feeds. And the 3rd requires and account and a captcha. There is captcha service integration available that you pay for as you use the captchas if you want to integrate that option. But right now all I have done is the first option of open RSS feeds. And just with that I do well.

So does this thing build links? Yup! And not only RSS links either. Sometimes I get alerts that someone has used/scraped the RSS feed on a blog or site and that my content, with a link, has been added to their site. So it is possible to get links from the RSS feed and then some from people using those feeds for content on their sites/auto blogs.

So that’s all the positives, but as with most things, there are negatives as well. First of, you need to do a few things during the initial set up. You’ll need to have access to your server. First, you install the plugin like you would any other plugin through the WordPress interface. Then you need to verify you’ve paid by entering a password that is provided when you purchase WTG.

You must have access to your server to do the install.  And you will need to go onto your server and manually change some file permissions.

After that, you’ll need to go to your server and add 2 folders in the main path. Then you’ll need to change the permissions for the 2 folders. After that, you’ll need to drill into the WordPress folder to get to the plugin and change 3 more permissions.

It isn’t difficult and there are clear video instructions. But it does take a few minutes. And after needing to watch the video a few times I finally just made up a cheat sheet so I wouldn’t need to watch the video again.

The guy on the video LOVES to talk. It’s quite irritating after the tenth time not being able to just get the information I want. Hence, the cheat sheet. Make one the first time you view the video. Or better yet, if you purchase this through me, I’ll send you mine.

Another irritating thing about this plugin is that they update it, sometimes, often. Although it does seem to be calming down. As I stated above, I used this on a lot of sites and to have to go into each and update everything is a big pain in the neck! It isn’t just the normal push a button and go. There is always an extra step with this plugin.

And although I recommend this plugin, I do not recommend the creator’s ebooks and information products. I actually tried an information product and to be com[completely honest, it was horrible. So much so that that particular product was the very first time I ever asked for a rebate. It was so out of date…but that is a different review.

One other thing I can’t stand about these guys is you will get pounded by affiliate offers from them. I hate that kind of crap! I have already taken myself off of their lists. Ridiculous!

But the Web Traffic Genius WordPress plugin, yes, grab it! It is well worth the money and extra trouble to be building links to your inner pages on auto pilot. It is really helpful building links on true autopilot.
